West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2023: Dates (Soon), Registration, Choice Filling, &More!

West Bengal NEET PG counselling 2023 is conducted by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, the government of West Bengal. The counselling will help the students get admission in the MD/MS Courses in all the government/ government-aided/ private unaided institutes and private universities of West Bengal. The candidates who are interested in pursuing their career in medical education further after completing their graduation in the medical domain can apply for the West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Medical aspirants are required to fulfill certain eligibility conditions to participate in the processes of West Bengal PG 2023 medical admission. These conditions are mentioned in the points below:

  • Candidates must qualify NEET PG 2023

  • The state quota seats will be of three categories as given below

1. Category A - Candidates who have completed MBBS from the state of West Bengal

2. Category B - Candidates who have completed their MBBS from outside the state but they or their parents are permanent residents of West Bengal

3. Category C - Aspirants who have completed their MBBS outside the state but have been employed in the rural areas under the West Bengal government for regular 3 years

  • Candidates must complete their MBBS from an institute recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI)

  • Aspirants must be registered with MCI/State Medical Council

  • Candidates must complete mandatory 12 months rotatory internship by March 31, 2023

  • Medical fitness of the candidate is mandatory

Document Required

Candidates are required to furnish certain documents prior to the release of the applicant list by the authorities, these have been listed below. The document verification process will take place in the third week of March 2023. It must also be noted that failure to furnish these when required will lead to the cancellation of candidature.

  • Caste certificate

  • NEET PG 2023 admit card

  • Age proof - Date of birth certificate or Class 10 certificate

  • NEET PG 2023 rank card

  • MBBS pass certificate

  • Proof of Permanent Residence in the state - EPIC/Aadhar card/Passport

  • MBBS marksheet

  • PwD certificate

  • Acknowledgement receipt received while filling West Bengal PG medical application form

  • Payment proof of registration

  • Internship completion certificate

How to apply

Online registration and filling the application form

Candidates who wish to participate in the West Bengal NEET PG/ NEET MDS counselling needed to register themselves on the official website of WBMCC. To register on the portal, candidates had to provide the following information:

  • The Stream (Medical/Dental)
  • NEET PG/NEET MDS roll number
  • Date of birth
  • Mobile number

On clicking ‘Submit’, the all India rank of the candidates in the respective examination (NEET PG/NEET MDS) will be displayed. This will verify that the details entered by the candidates are authentic. On proceeding further, candidates were required to enter the date on which they had completed their internship and the total number of correct responses in NEET PG/NEET MDS.

Only those candidates who have completed their internship on or before March 31, 2021, will be able to proceed further and apply for the West Bengal PG medical 2023 counselling.

Verification of documents

Due to the spread of COVID-19 in India, the physical verification of the documents has been postponed. Meanwhile, candidates had to email scanned copies of the documents listed below for determining their eligibility. These documents will be physically verified when the candidate joins the college allotted to them via the West Bengal NEET PG/NEET MDS counselling.
