The counselling session has been concluded for 2023-24 session. The next session counselling schedule will be released after NEET 2024 exam, scheduled on May 7.

KEA has released the mop up round counselling schedule. Karnataka NEET 2024 mop up round counselling will be held in offline mode. Candidates will be able to download the entry pass for the mop up round from December 6 to December 13. Offline seat allotment for Karnataka NEET 2024 mop up round counselling will be held from December 8 to December 14. 

The seat allotment result for round-2 Karnataka NEET 2024 counselling was released on November 27. The Karnataka NEET UG registration process had commenced on October 14. Candidates had to do online registration and declare choices for college and course for Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission 2024. Karnataka NEET UG counselling is held online for admission to various MBBS and BDS courses across government and private medical colleges across Karnataka. The counselling comprises two rounds and a mop-up round which is conducted if any seats are left vacant after the second round. KEA will conduct Karnataka NEET 2024 counselling for 85% state quota and 100% private colleges seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct Karnataka NEET counselling 2024 for 15 per cent All India Quota seats. The counselling will be conducted for providing admission to 9,345 MBBS and 3,445 BDS seats in medical colleges across the state.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who fulfill NEET Eligibility Criteria are only eligible to participate in the counselling process. 

  • Candidates should have passed class XII with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their subjects from the Karnataka board. (reserved categories are given a relaxation of 10%)
  • Candidates must have secured at least 50 percentile in NEET.
  • Applicants should be medically fit as per the physical standard eligibility rules.
  • The candidate’s minimum age should be 17 years as of December 31, 2024
  • Candidates must possess a domicile of origin in Karnataka. Applicants whose parents are working in Karnataka as Govt. of India employee/s are also eligible for admission.

Guidelines for Karnataka CET Candidates

  • Candidates who have been assigned ranks in UGCET 2024 need to complete the document verification. 
  • Candidates will also have to download the verification slip from the KEA portal to become eligible for admission to Medical and Dental colleges. 
  • If a candidate is eligible to claim a reservation under Linguistic minority or NRI ward seat or under category 2 to 8 in St. John Medical College will have to claim the same in the online application form. 
  • If a candidate has not registered for UGCET 2024 but qualified NEET 2024 will have to complete the online registration process by providing all the required details. 
  • If a candidate has registered for UGCET and paid the registration fees but did not appear for the document verification due to low scores in UGCET 2024 will also have to appear for document verification if they have cracked NEET 2024. 

Guideline for Non-Karnataka Candidates

  • Non-Karnataka candidates who have qualified NEET 2024 will have to complete the online registration process by providing all the required details.

  • Category Certificate (if applicable).
  • Domicile Certificate (for Karnataka candidates only).

  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • The final printout of the Online Application Form.
  • Proof of having paid the application fees
  • Study Certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO / DDPI

How to apply

Step 1: Enter all the details ONLINE by browsing the URL on the website http://kea.kar.nic.in by selecting “UGNEET-2024 Online Registration”. After the completion of entry of all the details, candidates will receive an OTP to their registered mobile phone number. Enter the OTP and complete the registration.

Step 2: Pay the fees by following the payment gateway procedures. Start entering the details stage by stage. Completely enter all the details without any mistakes.

Step 3: Upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG / JPEG format separately.

Step 4: Select the declaration and complete the process before selecting the declaration. Check and verify the entries.

Step 5: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper, and the same copy should be produced for document verification.
