Delhi NEET counselling 2024, also known as DU NEET, has concluded for the academic session 2024-25. The Delhi NEET counselling began on soon the registration window opened at ipu.admissions.nic.in. Delhi NEET 2024 counselling registration was conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Delhi on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Admission to the state quota seats in the MBBS and BDS programme will be done based on the marks obtained in NEET 2024. For the session 2024-2. GGSIPU accepted the NEET counselling applications for GGSIPU MBSS admissions.
Out of the total 660 MBBS and 50 BDS seats, 15 per cent of All India Quota (AIQ) and 85 per cent of state quota seats are reserved. All these colleges are affiliated with Delhi University. Depending upon the availability of seats, the conducting body is conducting the third or the mop-up round of counselling. The mop-up round is organised as there are seats left vacant after the second round of counselling.
Candidates who have passed both High School(10th standard) and Higher Secondary/Intermediate(10+2) or equivalent examinations from an recognised education institution located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi are eligible to apply under the Delhi University Quota.
40.5% of MBBS seats in medical colleges are available for GN(General or Unreserved) students.
10% of MBBS seats will be reserved for GEN- EWS (General Economically Weaker Section) category students. Family gross annual income < Rs 8 Lakhs are eligible for EWS Reservation Category.
15% MBBS seats are reserved for SC (Scheduled Caste) students.
7.5% MBBS seats are reserved for ST (Scheduled Tribe) students.
27% of MBBS Seats are reserved for OBC (Other Backward Class) non creamy layer students.
5% of MBBS seats are reserved for PH (Persons with Disability) candidates. PH reservation is horizontal reservation which means, 5% of seats in all reservation categories such as GN, EWS, OBC, SC, ST are reserved for candidates with disability from that reservation category.
There is 5% horizontal reservation for Defence Category in all colleges where counselling is conducted by Indraprastra University. The priority is given based on the below categories.

The Delhi NEET counselling 2024, also known as DU NEET, counselling process involves various steps. The DU NEET 2024 counselling will be conducted in three rounds, including the mop-up round. Candidates can check the round-wise process of DU NEET counselling 2024 is mentioned below:
To participate in the DU NEET counselling 2024, the first step the candidates have to follow is to register themselves. Candidates can register themselves by providing their NEET UG 2024 roll number, as mentioned on the NEET 2024 admit card. Along with the roll number, candidates have to furnish their personal and academic details. Candidates are advised to furnish their details carefully.
All the communication and allotment will be done based on the information provided; hence candidates should ensure they fill in the right information. After providing all the required details, candidates have to generate a password following the instructions. After creating the password and providing all the details, candidates have to click on the ‘Submit’ button to proceed.
Step - 2: Choice filling and locking for DU MBBS/BDS counselling
After registering, candidates have to fill the choice of colleges for their respective courses (MBBS or BDS). Candidates can select multiple colleges. It is advised that candidates should make sure to lock their choices after the selection of colleges. Otherwise, the system will automatically lock the choices provided by candidates before the portal closes. Candidates should note that after the choices are locked they won’t be able to edit or modify them; hence, it is advised to review the choices carefully before locking.
DU NEET counselling 2024 seat allotment process for each round will be conducted individually. The seat allotment will be done based on the choices filled and will be allotted based on the availability of seats, NEET UG rank, reservation, and other factors. The seat allotment list for the first round of counselling will be released tentatively in the first week of November, and the second list will be released tentatively in the last week of November. If any seats are left vacant, then the seat allotment list for the mop-up round will be released tentatively in the second week of December.
DU NEET counselling results will be announced after the release of the seat allotment list and will be available in PDF format.
To be eligible, candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2024 with a minimum score as specified by the Delhi University or Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Additionally, candidates must fulfill the domicile requirements and other criteria set by the Delhi government.
