The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not issued any official statement regarding the potential postponement of NEET UG 2024. Speculations had arisen earlier suggesting that the exam might be delayed due to the Lok Sabha elections. Furthermore, various rumors circulated on social media alleging that individuals participating in the general elections and getting their fingers inked would be barred from entering the exam halls. However, the head of NTA clarified that there would be no alterations to the NEET UG 2024 exam timetable due to the Lok Sabha Election Schedule and dismissed these rumors as unfounded. The current scheduled date for NEET 2024 is May 5, indicating that the exam will likely proceed as planned.
The NTA is set to release the NEET city allotment slip 2024, allowing aspirants to verify the city assigned to them for the exam. The NEET 2024 admit card is anticipated to be available a few days prior to the exam date, containing comprehensive information about the exam center.
Amidst discussions on social media, there are calls from candidates for the NTA to postpone NEET 2024 due to elections. However, the NTA has not officially announced any postponement for NEET UG 2024. Recently, the NTA reopened NEET 2024 registrations on the exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ portal from April 9 to 10. Earlier, the correction window for NEET 2024 applications was open on the official website from March 18, exclusively for registered candidates, with the deadline for corrections set on March 20.
