West Bengal NEET UG 2026 PwD Medical Assessment

The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal has issued an order regarding the verification and certification of eligibility of PwD candidates participating in NEET UG Medical/Dental Counselling 2026.

NRS Medical College, Kolkata has been directed to arrange a Primary Medical Assessment Board for PwD candidates appearing in both All India Quota and State Quota counselling.

PwD Assessment Schedule

The Primary Medical Assessment Board will function from 11 August 2026 until further notice or information regarding closure of the portal is provided by MCC, New Delhi.

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Who Can Attend

The assessment arrangement is for PwD candidates participating in NEET UG Medical/Dental Counselling 2026 under:

  • All India Quota Counselling
  • West Bengal State Quota Counselling

PwD Eligibility Certificate

The Primary Medical Assessment Board will verify and certify the eligibility of PwD candidates as per the applicable benchmark disability provisions.

The eligibility certificate is to be issued in online mode only as per the prescribed rules of the All India counselling authority.

Appellate Board at IPGMER Kolkata

The order also refers to the MCC notice dated 07 August 2026 under which IPGMER, Kolkata will function as one of the designated Appellate Disability Assessment Boards.

Dr. Shuvra Neel Baul, Associate Professor, Department of Hematology, NRS Medical College & Hospital, has been directed to attend the Appellate Board at IPG&MER, Kolkata from 11 August 2026 until further notice regarding closure of the MCC portal.

Important Note

PwD candidates participating in NEET UG Counselling 2026 should complete the required medical assessment and eligibility certification within the applicable counselling timeline. Candidates are advised to follow further notices issued by MCC and the West Bengal counselling authority regarding closure of the assessment portal or any subsequent changes.
